Cara-Mel, born Dana Holmes, is an Inspirational Hip Hop artist and Virginia native whose sound is a powerful fusion of Hip Hop/Rap, R&B, Urban Worship, Dance, and socially conscious storytelling. Her breakout underground anthem, “Broke (I’m Tired),” captured the attention of Minnesota’s DJ Sidereal and earned placement on the 2015 Stamp of Approval Mixtape featuring the year’s top independent bangers. The momentum continued in September 2016 with the release of her electrifying Racial Profile mixtape debut, hosted by New York’s own DJ Pluton1c, further establishing her presence within the underground hip hop scene. With multiple features and musical projects to her credit, Cara-Mel continues to evolve as an artist with no signs of slowing down.
Beyond music, Cara-Mel is also a health and wellness educator, two-time breast cancer survivor, advocate, and the international television host of LYV TV, airing on the All Nations Television Network. Passionate about inspiring change through music and purpose-driven storytelling, she has created a lane uniquely her own.
